As senior partner,
Larry Dougherty is responsible for PeopleSource
Solutions leadership and resource allocation.
PSSI is a leading provider of
executive talent to companies requiring expertise
in specific industries. During a period when the
rate of change has increased he has
introduced systems and methodologies that have
increased the firm's growth, ranking it in the
top 10 of Atlanta recruiting firms.
Dougherty is the former
Division Manager for Avon Products, the largest
Direct Sales Company in the world. He joined Avon
in 1977 with their Distribution practice. From 1977
to 1983 Dougherty held various assignments at the
Newark, DE distribution facility. In 1983 he became
Project Manager responsible for installing the first WMS system in the company. In 1984 Dougherty was
promoted to National Manager of Inventory Control
and transferred to the Corporate HQ in New York
City. In 1985 he was transferred to Nashville, TN
to assume responsibility for a Sales Division in
the Southeast. In 1987 Dougherty moved to Atlanta
to assume responsibility for another Sales Division
that required rebuilding.
Prior to joining Avon Products,
Dougherty worked for Cole, Layer and Trumble Company
in Birmingham, AL as Project Coordinator for the
residential property assessment of Jefferson County.
Previous to Cole, Layer and Trumble Company he
was an Officer in the United States Air Force.
Dougherty graduated from Florida State University
in 1973 where he earned a bachelor's of science
degree in biology and a minor in chemistry.
Larry is an active member of the
supply chain and logistics management communities
and plays a prominent role in The Council of Logistics
Management and the Warehouse Education Research
Council. He was the President of the Atlanta CLM
chapter from 1998 through 2000.
